Overall Summary

The Tax Accountant will work closely with the Tax Manager, in addition to Corporate Tax and the engaged outside public accounting firm on various tax related issues.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The Tax Accountant (“TA”) will be responsible for preparing tax analysis related to corporate operations, including joint venture partnerships on a global basis. This analysis will be for internal use, along with supporting the consolidated taxable income schedule (monthly / quarterly) and sub-consolidated corporate tax returns (annual).
• The TA should be familiar with sophisticated corporate tax structures (e.g. consolidated filings, partnerships, CFC’s and international indirect taxes (i.e. withholding, VAT, GST, etc…).
• The TA should be familiar with FAS 109 and FIN 48 along with tax balance sheet (i.e. Deferred Taxes) issues so that proper analysis can be provided in a supportive role for the group.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The TA will be involved with tax research and planning for various corporate structures, including domestic and international business operations for existing businesses and any potential new business ventures.
• In addition, the TA will be involved with business contract review; recognizing tax issues and suggesting solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Candidate must be a CPA with 4 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in public accounting, specifically in a tax-related capacity
• BA/BS in Accounting required
• Strong computer, communication (oral and written), and analytical skills
• Candidate should be highly motivated, willing to work within a team-oriented environment, and anxious to further advance skill sets while developing expertise in new areas

• Experience supervising a limited staff would be useful, but is not required
